Artificial Intelligence (AI) is often seen as a potential gamechanger for healthcare to address the many challenges the domain faces in the decades to come. When considering the current status quo, however, AI has only penetrated healthcare practice in a very modest way. To improve the development and adoption of AI techniques in the domain of healthcare, research from various angles is needed: from more fundamental algorithmic improvement to implementation research, and from ethics to clinical evaluation of the added value of AI. The center brings together over 70 top scientists in all relevant areas with the ultimate goal to bring AI techniques into clinical practice to the benefit of both patient and healthcare professionals.
You will be responsible for overall coordination of the center, with the possibility to spend a limited part of the time on teaching and research activities.
