The Department of Molecular Cell Biology and Immunology (MCBI) at the Amsterdam UMC (VUmc location) carries out research at an internationally competitive level and offers a stimulating and collegial work environment.
The research of the department concentrates on immunological questions in the fields of cancer, neuroimmunology, skin biology, and inflammation. The research focuses on both, fundamental questions aimed at unraveling molecular and cellular mechanisms and translational research focusing on the application of fundamental knowledge to medical questions.
Amsterdam UMC Research BV supports non-profit scientific research. In doing so, we provide researchers with everything they need to excel. Our principal investigators (PIs) and project leaders offer support in the field of project management, finance and human resources. In medical scientific research projects, legal support is also provided.
