The Foskolou Lab at Amsterdam UMC and Sanquin Research investigates how T-cell metabolism and epitranscriptomic regulation shape anti-tumour immunity, with the goal of improving T-cell-based immunotherapies for solid tumours.
This position is funded through an NWO Vidi grant. The project, “Deciphering the metabolic-epitranscriptomic nexus to optimise T-cell-based cancer immunotherapies”, aims to uncover how mRNA methylation regulates T-cell metabolic adaptation. This knowledge will be used to engineer improved CAR-T cells capable of functioning within the immunosuppressive tumour microenvironment (TME).
You will work closely with PhD candidates within the lab and contribute to the broader scientific efforts of the research group. This position offers the opportunity to work at the intersection of immunology, metabolism and RNA biology.
As a postdoctoral researcher, you will play a central role across multiple projects within the lab. You will combine experimental work with advanced data analysis and actively contribute to the scientific direction of the group.
Your work will include:
You will also collaborate closely with PhD candidates and support junior researchers within the lab.
You are an independent researcher with a strong background in immunology and metabolism. You enjoy working in a multidisciplinary and collaborative research environment.
In addition, you have:
