Our myeloid research team has ample experience in identifying, characterizing and quantifying malignant myeloid cells in patients with several hematological malignancies such as acute myeloid leukemia (AML), chronic myeloid leukemia (CML) and myeloid dysplastic syndromes (MDS). The malignant cells are measured by flow cytometry using different CD-marker panels specific to the myeloid cells.
It has become more and more clear that the immune environment in the bone marrow is very important to achieve good and prolonged remissions. Hence, many different CD-marker panels are currently used to measure specific functional cell populations such as T-cell, B-cell and NK-cell subsets.
As we have a large number of data of different immune monitoring panels measured in large patient cohorts, we want to make an inventory of current panels and results, and develop the most optimal panels for each of the different research questions of different immune cell subsets. These panels need to be validated and bioinformatics pipelines designed for standardized analysis of the data.
In order to achieve the above a non-academic tenure track Scientist is required and requested.
