You will investigate early vulnerability of the brain in preclinical alzheimer using large multimodal MRI datasets from a European cohort of cognitively unimpaired individuals at risk of the disease. You analyse structural, diffusion, perfusion, and functional MRI measures to identify network and microstructural alterations that precede symptoms. You integrate MRI-derived features with biological and clinical markers to improve disease-progression models and early prediction.

You will work at the department of Radiology and Nuclear medicine. The department conducts high-quality multidisciplinary research on alzheimer and related dementias. You join an active imaging group led by prof. dr. Frederik Barkhof, where neuroradiologists, physicists, clinicians and data scientists collaborate on cutting-edge methods.
