Within our research group, you will work on a unique set of bioinformatics projects focused on tick immunity and Lyme disease. Your work will include the analysis of spatial transcriptomics data from skin biopsies, immunophenotyping of PBMCs, and proteomic and single B-cell sequencing data.
You will collaborate with immunologists, molecular biologists, and clinical researchers at Amsterdam UMC as well as with (inter)national partners.

The Lyme borreliosis research group, led by Prof. Dr. Joppe Hovius, is an interdisciplinary team within the Center for Infection and Molecular Medicine (CIMM) at Amsterdam UMC and part of Amsterdam UMC Multidisciplinary Lyme Disease Center (AMLC). The team consists of approximately 15 people, including physician-scientists, PhD students, postdocs, a (nurse) research coordinator, a nurse specialist, a project manager, and students. We are known for our collegial atmosphere and are a close-knit group thanks to weekly meetings, active supervision, and regular social activities.
Amsterdam UMC Research BV supports non-profit scientific research. In doing so, we provide researchers with everything they need to excel. Our principal investigators (PIs) and project leaders offer support in the field of project management, finance and human resources. In medical scientific research projects, legal support is also provided.
