Within the section "Clinical Occupational Medicine and Occupational Diseases" at the Department of Public & Occupational Health at Amsterdam UMC, we are looking for an experienced and driven associate professor or assistant professor with potential for promotion to associate professor. As associate professor, you will strengthen and further expand research and education in the field of epidemiology of work & health and prevention of work-related diseases.

Our mission is to contribute to the health of workers and prevent occupational diseases through research, education, and clinical and occupational health care. We initiate and conduct research that is relevant to workers, employers and professionals in occupational health care.

Research and education are carried out within the section "Clinical Occupational Medicine and Occupational Diseases" at the Department of Public & Occupational Health at Amsterdam UMC. The Netherlands Center for Occupational Diseases and the Outpatient Clinic for Occupational Medicine are part of this section. Researchers work together with various types of (healthcare) professionals. The section collaborates closely with other national and international scientific partners and relevant stakeholders such as (occupational) physicians, businesses, and/or industry organizations, institutions in the field of work and health, employee and employer organizations, and government institutions.
The "Clinical Occupational Medicine and Occupational Diseases" section provides attractive and effective education in occupational medicine within the medical curricula of VU and UvA, as well as in continuing education programs for physicians. In clinical and occupational health care, we deliver top-level care to employees with complex occupational diseases.
