In our group we study hereditary heart diseases. Since there is generally no cure available for these patients, they often die at a young age or they require a heart transplant. Our team investigates the molecular mechanisms that underlie these heart conditions, and on this basis we aim to develop novel therapies. We are looking for a research analist with a background in cell biology and molecular techniques, to support our team in various projects.

You work closely with PhD students, postdocs and other technicians. There is an informal working athmosphere in the department and contact with colleagues is easily accessible. We are a dynamic and collaborative lab within the Experimental Cardiology department of Amsterdam UMC (location AMC). The Experimental Cardiology department consists of several enthusiastic teams, of young people from all over the world. We apply a wide range of experimental approaches from molecular genetics to electrophysiology.
