The project

Our myeloma group is performing translational research that is focused on the development of novel immunotherapeutic strategies in order to improve survival of patients with myeloma (a still incurable form of bone marrow cancer). In our new project we will evaluate the activity of the novel BCMA/GPRC5D-targeting trispecific antibody in our preclinical assays. The project is also aiming at better understanding mechanisms of resistance to bispecific/trispecific T-cell redirecting antibodies in order to develop novel combination strategies that abrogate resistance.

The work of the PhD student will encompass various laboratory studies, including cell culture and immunology (flow cytometry, cell sorting, cellular cytotoxicity assays, and cytokine production  assays).  We will also perform extensive monitoring of potential biomarkers and immune cells by analyzing bone marrow and blood samples obtained from myeloma patients treated with bispecidfic antibodies.
