We think it is important that you know where you stand when you come to work for us. That is why we are transparent about our terms of employment.

Standard

Salary

Your salary is in accordance with the CAO UMC and your holiday allowance is 8 percent of your gross annual salary. Amsterdam UMC also offers a year-end bonus of 8.3 percent. Would you like to calculate your net salary? Then use the calculation tool.

Working week

At AMR you can work both fulltime and part-time. A fulltime working week is 36 hours a week.

Holidays

At AMR we work with a system of annual hours. This means that you have to work a certain number of hours per year, depending on the scope of your employment. The number of holiday hours is 175,2 hours on the basis of a full-time employment contract.

Pension

We place your pension with BeFrank, a transparent and fairly priced modern pension. Have you already built up a pension elsewhere? If so, you can probably transfer its value.

Flexibel

Working part-time

Many colleagues at AMR work part-time. In all our vacancies the number of hours to be worked is indicated. Feel free to discuss your part-time wishes with your future supervisor.

Childcare

Do you need childcare? On the grounds of Amsterdam UMC, location AMC, is "the Kinderkeet". As a staff member you will be given priority when placing your child there. Travel

Travelling by public transport

Are you travelling by public transport? Amsterdam UMC is easy to reach! Whether you come by bus, metro or tram, there is always a station or stop nearby.

Station AMC: Station Holendrecht is your starting point to travel in no time to Duivendrecht, Bijlmer, CS, RAI, Zuid-WTC or Sloterdijk. The bus even stops at the square in front of the door.

Location VUmc: Various trams and buses run alongside location VUmc, and the metro is also just around the corner.

Travelling by car

Around location AMC, there are sufficient parking spaces for employees. Parking is currently free on our own grounds.

There are several car parks around VUmc. We have a limited number of parking spaces available for employees. You need a parking pass to gain access to these spaces.

Travelling by bicycle

If you travel by bicycle, you can receive a partial reimbursement for the purchase of a bicycle. You can park your bicycle safely in the closed bicycle shed. Flat tyre? Amsterdam UMC, location AMC, has a bicycle repair shop on site, which will usually have your bike fixed before your working day is over.

Travel allowance

You can count on a general contribution towards the cost of commuting if you travel by car. If you travel by public transport, the costs of your public transport pass will largely be reimbursed. Business trips with public transport are even fully reimbursed. Special rates apply for business trips using your own transport. In addition to the partial reimbursement for commuting, AMR also makes use of the 'fiscal exchange'. Our HR Servicedesk can tell you more about this.

Extra

Training

AMR employees are offered a wide range of education and training courses. Depending on your position, you can discuss what training opportunities are available. Care-oriented and specialist further training courses are usually fully reimbursed.

Health insurance

If you want a good health insurance, please register online for the UMC Health Insurance. AMR has made collective agreements with two health insurers: UMC Zorgverzekering and Zilveren Kruis. Insurance with discount

We have made attractive arrangements for AMR employees with various companies. You can participate in collective home and/or car insurance.

Sports

Need to blow off some steam after a long day? This is possible at both locations. Here you will find all possible sports. The AMC Sports Centre is open during the week. Would you like to play sports in the weekend? Then you can also go to the USC sports centre of the UvA at De Boelelaan.

Bicycle scheme

Would you like to purchase a new (electric) bicycle with tax benefits? This is possible via FiscFree. You can get a benefit over a total amount of max. € 749,- euro. In addition, you can take out free all-risk insurance for your bicycle (up to a maximum of € 749). We reimburse these costs. Cycling to and from work has many more advantages: no traffic stress, no CO2 and your health/condition will improve. The amount can be paid in instalments and will be deducted from the monthly gross salary, the gross holiday allowance and/or the gross end-of-year bonus.
